Audrius Stonys is a film director, producer, and Professor at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, with a Doctor of Arts degree and the Lithuanian National Culture and Art Award. His films received numerous international film awards. His documentary Earth of the Blind won the European Film Academy’s Best European Documentary Award in 1992. Stonys has taught and lectured internationally, with film screenings in countries like France, Israel, the US, and Brazil.
